Frequently asked questions

  • Are Instagram and Facebook ads managed separately?

Both can be managed in the same campaign through Meta’s ad system. You can leave placements on automatic or choose areas such as reels, stories and feed individually. Preparing creative in the right aspect ratio for each placement keeps automatic cropping from breaking the message.

  • How can you tell creative fatigue has set in?

Typical signs are a falling click-through rate and a rising cost per result while frequency climbs in the same audience. Comments like “this ad again” are also a signal. Producing new variations regularly and broadening the audience are practical ways to delay fatigue.

  • Is installing a pixel enough?

The pixel is the basic step, but because of browser and privacy restrictions it can undercount on its own. Data becomes more reliable when server-side conversion connections, event deduplication and cookie consent management are set up together. Obligations under KVKK, Türkiye’s personal data protection law, should be assessed separately.

  • Can I run social campaigns through AdSport?

Not yet. Meta and TikTok account connections are on the roadmap. Right now you can open an account, set up your brands and team, and follow the actual status of each connection on the Integrations page.

Ads that stop the scroll audience, creative, measurement

On Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, the first seconds often decide the outcome. Setting up the right audience, refreshing creative on time and measuring conversions accurately work together.

How social media advertising works

Meta’s Instagram and Facebook, along with TikTok, offer feeds that people scroll through for long stretches every day. Ads sit in these feeds in the same form as organic content: vertical full-screen reels and stories, square or vertical feed posts, and carousel and collection formats. Users do not search for the ad; it reaches them based on their interest signals.

This is why social advertising mostly creates demand rather than capturing it. The platforms’ delivery algorithms largely decide who sees an ad. The strongest levers an advertiser has are the quality of the creative, choosing the right campaign objective and the accuracy of the conversion signal sent back to the platform.

What it delivers

  • Built for mobile and vertical

Full-screen vertical placements such as reels and stories focus attention on a single message on mobile. Short videos built with captions and motion show the product in use and bring the brand into people’s everyday feed.

  • Flexible audience setup

Broad audiences based on interests and demographics, lookalike audiences built from customer lists and retargeting of site visitors can all be managed in the same account. Giving the algorithm room through broad targeting can also be a deliberate choice.

  • Fast creative testing

Showing the same audience different opening scenes, messages and formats reveals quickly which approach resonates. What you learn can also inform creative decisions in other channels.

  • Engagement and community

Reactions such as comments, shares and saves offer qualitative feedback on how a message is received. Replying to comments promptly turns an ad into a conversation and supports trust in the brand.

Which businesses it suits

Products and services that can be shown visually benefit most from social advertising. The capacity to produce creative regularly matters at least as much as the budget.

  • E-commerce and retail

A natural channel for stores that connect their product catalog to dynamic ads and aim for quick sales during campaign periods.

  • Local services and experiences

Cafés, restaurants, beauty, fitness and education businesses that can show their space and atmosphere reach people nearby through location targeting.

  • Brands speaking to younger audiences

TikTok and reels are among the main places where younger users discover content. A natural tone that fits each platform’s style tends to land better here.

  • Lead generation through forms

With in-platform lead form ads, users can leave contact details without leaving the app. Calling leads back quickly and checking their quality should be planned from the start.

How it’s set up

  • Objective and tracking setup

The campaign objective is chosen: reach, traffic, leads or sales. Meta and TikTok pixels and server-side conversion connections are set up, and which events will count is clarified before launch.

  • Audience structure

Cold audiences, warm audiences and retargeting layers are separated. Overlap between audiences is checked, and audiences large enough for the algorithm to learn from are preferred over very narrow groups.

  • Creative set

Vertical video, square image and carousel versions are prepared for each platform. Several different ideas that show the product or benefit in the first seconds and work without sound are tested at the same time.

  • Refreshing and scaling

If engagement drops while frequency rises, creative fatigue has set in and new variations are brought in. Budget for setups that deliver is increased gradually, so sudden jumps do not disrupt the learning phase.

How it’s measured

Clicks and conversions can be measured in social advertising, but accuracy depends on the tracking setup. Because of browser restrictions and cookie consent, a pixel alone can miss some events. Server-side conversion connections and event deduplication narrow that gap.

Platform reports use their own attribution windows, so more than one channel can claim the same sale. Platform data should therefore be compared with your site analytics and sales records, and frequency and performance by creative should be tracked separately.
